Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. I am the Principal at Byrns Darden Elementary School. I am excited to start the new year getting to know families, students, and the overall community. My teaching career started in this community, and I am thrilled to continue supporting all the students and families in our area.
My former experiences include: Classroom Teacher, Writing Coach, Academic Coach, and Assistant Principal. I am eager to start my 20th year in education as the Principal at Darden. We will strive to improve the climate and culture in our community with help from teachers, students, and stakeholders.
Our staff will be working hard to meet the needs of all students. We encourage parents to be a part of our school and work. The theme for this year is: "We Shine Brighter Together"- this includes all stake holders. We welcome our community and will be opening our doors for some wonderful events this year.
