Hello, my name is Melissa Mylowe and I teach 4th grade! This will be my 14th year teaching at Woodlawn. I moved to Clarksville in 2010 from New Jersey with my husband who was in the ARMY. I received my Bachelor's Degree in 2008 from The College of New Jersey and my Master's of Math Curriculum from the American College of Education. I love Woodlawn Elementary school because of the staff, students, and families. 4th grade and it is my favorite grade to teach!! My favorite subjects are math and social studies. I think of our class as a family and I cannot wait to have a great time getting to know each one of my students. I look forward to having a fun and inspiring year with them. DREAM BIG * WORK HARD * STAY KIND

Welcome to Mrs. Mylowe's class and I am so excited to have you here! I will be teaching you math and science this year. I am ALL about having fun, so if you love games, then we will have a great year learning and practicing math skills together.

School Supply List- (yes, the school system sends out a very large list which is ALL the elementary schools combined) Our list at Woodlawn is a little different if you'd like to save a little money.

DO NOT NEED: lined paper, graph paper, 5 pronged folders, liquid glue, or a ruler.

If you are able, here is the 4th grade Supply List:

1) 2 composition notebooks

2) 2 or more packs of wood pencils

3) Ear buds or headphones

4) 3 highlighters

5) Glue Sticks (no liquid glue please)

6) 5-10 dry erase markers (yes, they can be colors)

7) 2 SPIRAL notebooks (plastic cover and MORE than 100 pages).

8) 1 strong  folders (do not need prongs)

9) Pair of scissors (because we cannot share this year)

10) A supply bag or Box for all of their supplies (it can be fun and cute)

**I appreciate you spending the time to get all these supplies to help our classroom work smoothly and make your child organized to make their day easy. Welcome to 4th grade!

CLASS NEEDS:
1. Bags of candy
2. Pencil Top Erasers (we go through about 500 of these)

3. Recess toys (chalk, playdoh, frisbee, jump ropes, etc.)

  1. Work Hard and PERSEVERE because in math you may have to solve something a few times or think through it.
  2. Be Kind to others.
  3. Be respectful.
  4. Be Responsible for you- you are now a 4th grader and have to keep track of your supplies, keep your book bag organized, and make a plan of getting your work done and turned in on your own.
