Hello! I earned my bachelor's degree from Austin Peay State University and my Master of Education in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. I taught third grade for seven years and one year of Title I Reading at Liberty Elementary School. After my eighth year of teaching elementary, it was time for a change so I started my middle school career at New Providence Middle School. I taught middle school for 13 years before deciding to return to elementary because I missed working with the younger students. I enjoy reading, hiking, kayaking, and spending quality time with my family. I have a daughter who is a high school assistant principal and a son who is a junior in college. They are my pride and joy!
